FROM HER. THROUGH ME. TO YOU.

Over 100 Questions

you need to ask + be asked...

The conversations

every mother and daughter need to have.

About love. Life. Pain. Power. Money. Bodies. Relationships. Identity. Resilience. And all the things we somehow spend years meaning to talk about.

I AM DAUGHTER is not a book of answers.

It’s a book of conversations.

The conversations we had.
The ones we wish we’d had.
And the ones we still have time to have.

Because every woman is a daughter.

And behind every daughter is another woman with stories, mistakes, lessons, questions and wisdom worth passing on.

Be the first to hear about the book, launch and I Am Daughter project.

We are all daughters...

Long before we understand who we are, we are watching.

Watching the women who raise us. Listening to what they say about themselves, about us, about love, success, beauty, motherhood, relationships, ambition, sacrifice, money, ageing, bodies, boundaries and what it means to be a “good woman.”

Some lessons are spoken directly.

Others are absorbed without a single word.

And somewhere along the way, every daughter has to decide:

What belongs to me?

What did I inherit?

What do I want to keep?

And what ends with me?

I Am Daughter is a powerful collection of stories, insights and conversations exploring the complicated, beautiful and deeply influential experience of being a daughter.

Written by women with different stories, backgrounds and areas of expertise, this book goes beyond the traditional mother-daughter narrative.

It explores the invisible ways our relationships with the women before us can shape how we see ourselves, how we love, how we parent, how we work, how we use our voices, how we treat our bodies, how we set boundaries, how we handle conflict and how much permission we believe we have to become fully ourselves.

But this is not a book about blaming mothers.

Our mothers were daughters too.

They were shaped by their own families, cultures, expectations, fears, opportunities and limitations. They inherited things they consciously passed forward and things they may never have realised they were carrying at all.

I Am Daughter creates space for both truths.

You can love your mother and still acknowledge what hurt.

You can appreciate everything she gave you and still choose differently.

You can understand why something happened without deciding it has to continue.

You can grieve what you never received while recognising what was beautiful.

And you can become more conscious about what the next generation receives from you.

Across these pages, women explore identity, self-worth, inherited beliefs, relationships, generational patterns, body image, boundaries, people-pleasing, nervous-system responses, healing, motherhood, communication, ageing, ambition, reinvention and the often uncomfortable process of separating who we truly are from who we learned we were supposed to be.

Because becoming yourself is not always about creating something new.

Sometimes it is about uncovering what was there before the expectations.

Sometimes it is about questioning a belief you have carried for decades.

Sometimes it is about finally saying no.

Sometimes it is about forgiving.

Sometimes it is about refusing to forgive before you are ready.

Sometimes it is about understanding your mother differently.

And sometimes it is simply about recognising:

I can love where I come from without repeating everything I came from.

This book is for mothers.

It is for daughters.

It is for women whose mothers are their closest friends and women whose relationships with their mothers are complicated, distant or painful.

It is for women whose mothers are no longer here.

It is for women raising daughters of their own and suddenly seeing their childhood through completely different eyes.

And it is for any woman who has ever caught herself thinking:

Why am I like this?

Where did I learn this?

Is this actually what I believe?

Do I want to keep carrying it?

Each chapter invites you to look at your own story with greater curiosity rather than judgment, while giving you practical ideas, perspectives and conversations you can take beyond the page.

Because the goal is not to become a perfectly healed woman with a perfectly healed family.

The goal is consciousness.

To notice.

To understand.

To talk about the things previous generations may never have had the language to discuss.

To keep what deserves to be carried forward.

To change what no longer fits.

And to give ourselves, our daughters and the women who come after us more freedom to choose who they become.

We are all daughters before we become anything else.

The question is not only what we inherited.

It is what we choose to do with it.
